With over 10 years of experience in architectural lighting and a background in Theatrical Lighting design, JKM Lighting Design can deliver beautifully integrated lighting that can seamlessly accent the architecture and interior design of any space.
JKM Lighting Design has designed for a diverse group of clients, completing residences in Florida, New York, and the Hamptons. We have also worked on commercial projects including restaurants, museums, hotels, cruise ship terminals, and nightclubs around the world. Founder & PrincipalJustin Keenan Miller is the founder of JKM Lighting Design, bringing over a decade of experience crafting distinctive lighting for high-end residential and commercial environments. With a background in theatrical lighting, he holds an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University. Recently named to the Light Collective’s 40 Under 40, Justin’s award-winning work has earned multiple Illuminating Engineering Society and Lumen Awards, elevating architecture and interiors through thoughtful light that enhances atmosphere, form, and function.
Principalg. Ryan Smith
G. Ryan Smith is a lighting designer at JKM Lighting Design whose work is defined by clarity, intention, and a strong sense of narrative. With a background in theatrical design and an education from Georgetown University, he approaches lighting as a quiet but powerful force—one that reveals materiality, shapes movement, and influences how a space is felt. Working across luxury residential and civic projects, Ryan brings a thoughtful, detail-driven sensibility to each environment, enhancing spatial flow and elevating the human experience.
